Compresstome™ VF-300 Oscillo-Sliding Fully Automatic Microtome

The Compresstome™ Vf-300 microtome is the fully automated version of the VF-200. Its digital dial provides a much more precise thickness adjustment. It also provides a fully automated cutting environment that will allow you to continuously cut smooth and thin slices with the exact same thickness. The VF-300 is great for cutting large quantities of fresh slices for tissue culture or electrophysiology experiments.

 

Doubling the Slice Viability

As shown in the figure of this page, the Compresstome™ VF-300 more than doubles the slice viability of an ordinary vibra-slicer. This is true even for large neuron such as the Purkinje neuron and dense fiber tissues such as the brain stem. The Compresstome™ VF-300 is a versatile slicer that can be used for several different experiments:

 

* Electrophysiology : The VF-300 produces best quality brain slices which outperforms existing high-end vibrating slicers at a cheaper price.  

* Immunohistochemistry : The VF-300 can slice fixed tissues to slices as thin as 10 microns without the need for freezing.

 

Acute Adult Brain Slice

Healthy adult brain slices can be routinely obtained with Compresstome™ VF-200 and VF-300.
